A good book and a quiet corner can turn an ordinary afternoon into my favourite part of the week. I read a mixture of novels, essays, and whatever catches my attention on a second-hand shelf. A rainy day is a good excuse to make tea and finally open the book I have been saving. I appreciate company that leaves room for both conversation and comfortable pauses.
