I like the kind of hospitality that makes people feel comfortable rather than carefully entertained. A trip to the market can inspire a whole evening, and I rarely follow a recipe without changing at least one thing. On a quiet afternoon, I might make a batch of soup, try a new bake, or tidy a favourite corner. I like an easy atmosphere where nobody needs to put on a performance.
