I like early starts when they lead somewhere worth seeing. I would choose a picnic with a pleasant view over a timetable packed from morning to evening. I am happy to slow down when there is something to notice, from changing leaves to an interesting doorway. I don't need every day to be exciting; I just like feeling that I've made something of it.
