I notice the small things: a thoughtful message, a beautiful old building, or a song played at the right moment. I can be reserved at first, but I warm up quickly when a conversation moves beyond the usual small talk. On a free morning, I might read a few chapters before deciding where the rest of the day should go. I appreciate company that leaves room for both conversation and comfortable pauses.
