I love a home that feels lived in: something cooking, music playing, and a comfortable place to sit. I usually cook with music on and tidy up a little as I go, although baking can undo all my good intentions. I enjoy taking a familiar dish and making a small change with a different herb or a new ingredient. I think thoughtfulness shows up most clearly in everyday habits.
