I enjoy trying a recipe that sounds promising and seeing what I would change next time. I enjoy the process of preparing a meal as much as sitting down to eat it. On a quiet afternoon, I might make a batch of soup, try a new bake, or tidy a favourite corner. The evenings I remember fondly are often the ones that felt simple at the time.
