I'm happy learning a new recipe, putting together a meal, or spending a quiet evening with a good film. I enjoy having people around a table, but I also value an evening with nowhere to be. I like writing a small note beside a recipe so I remember what worked when I make it again. I appreciate people who notice the effort behind a small kindness and offer their own in return.
