I am drawn to stories that give me something to think about after the last page. There is usually a notebook nearby for a thought, a book title, or a sentence I want to remember. A rainy day is a good excuse to make tea and finally open the book I have been saving. I'm happiest when things feel easy rather than carefully staged.
