My idea of a pleasant detour often involves a small bookshop and a place to sit with a coffee. I am just as interested in the story behind a favourite object as I am in the object itself. I keep a short reading list, although an unexpected recommendation often changes it. I appreciate people who can be thoughtful without taking themselves too seriously.
