A relaxed evening with a homemade meal is often exactly what I have been looking forward to. I usually cook with music on and tidy up a little as I go, although baking can undo all my good intentions. A thoughtful meal does not need to be complicated; sometimes the best choice is something familiar made well. For me, comfort comes from feeling welcome rather than from having everything arranged perfectly.
