I am happiest with plans that leave enough time to cook, talk, and enjoy being in the same place. I usually cook with music on and tidy up a little as I go, although baking can undo all my good intentions. I enjoy having a few people over when there is time to settle in and let the conversation find its own pace. I don't confuse a quiet life with a dull one; there are plenty of things to enjoy without rushing.
