I like the kind of day where a good conversation turns a quick coffee into a much longer stop. A simple meal made well often impresses me more than a long menu and a lot of ceremony. I tend to notice the small touches that make a place feel comfortable, from friendly service to a quiet table. I bring plenty of enthusiasm, but I'm just as happy when the evening slows down.
