Cooking is how I slow down after a busy day. A welcoming table, an easy conversation, and something simple to share are usually enough for me. Trying something new is more enjoyable when there is room to laugh if it does not turn out as expected. I appreciate people who notice the effort behind a small kindness and offer their own in return.
