I like a little energy around me: a busy market, a lively kitchen, or a table full of people talking. A simple meal made well often impresses me more than a long menu and a lot of ceremony. I usually keep a few places on a list, then choose whatever suits the mood of the day. I like discovering new things while keeping a few familiar favourites close by.
