My favourite plans often involve a kitchen, a long conversation, and no reason to check the time. A trip to the market can inspire a whole evening, and I rarely follow a recipe without changing at least one thing. I am quite happy changing the plan when a recipe needs adjusting or an ingredient is missing. The evenings I remember fondly are often the ones that felt simple at the time.
