I am happiest with plans that leave enough time to cook, talk, and enjoy being in the same place. I like making food to share, trying a recipe more than once, and gradually finding my own way of doing it. On a quiet afternoon, I might make a batch of soup, try a new bake, or tidy a favourite corner. I don't confuse a quiet life with a dull one; there are plenty of things to enjoy without rushing.
