I like the kind of hospitality that makes people feel comfortable rather than carefully entertained. I enjoy having people around a table, but I also value an evening with nowhere to be. I am quite happy changing the plan when a recipe needs adjusting or an ingredient is missing. I appreciate a little effort, a sincere thank-you, and the ability to laugh when something doesn't go to plan.
