I make room for creative things even when the rest of the week feels very practical. I like hearing what other people notice in a film or a painting, even when their view is completely different from mine. Small venues and relaxed settings often make it easier for me to settle into the experience. A little imagination and a willingness to listen make conversation much more interesting.
