My idea of a pleasant detour often involves a small bookshop and a place to sit with a coffee. I read a mixture of novels, essays, and whatever catches my attention on a second-hand shelf. I keep a short reading list, although an unexpected recommendation often changes it. I value kindness, a dry sense of humour, and being comfortable enough to say what you mean.
