Reta Herndon

My idea of a pleasant detour often involves a small bookshop and a place to sit with a coffee. I can be reserved at first, but I warm up quickly when a conversation moves beyond the usual small talk. I usually remember a thoughtful conversation long after I have forgotten what was on the menu. I appreciate company that leaves room for both conversation and comfortable pauses.
