I get a lot of pleasure from small things done with care. I usually cook with music on and tidy up a little as I go, although baking can undo all my good intentions. I enjoy taking a familiar dish and making a small change with a different herb or a new ingredient. The evenings I remember fondly are often the ones that felt simple at the time.
