My idea of a pleasant detour often involves a small bookshop and a place to sit with a coffee. I have a soft spot for second-hand books, handwritten notes, and people who remember the little details. I would rather give a conversation my attention than keep checking the time. I'd rather leave room for a good conversation than fill every silence.
