My favourite plans often involve a kitchen, a long conversation, and no reason to check the time. I enjoy the process of preparing a meal as much as sitting down to eat it. I like writing a small note beside a recipe so I remember what worked when I make it again. I don't confuse a quiet life with a dull one; there are plenty of things to enjoy without rushing.
