I can lose track of time in a library, especially when I find a shelf I have never explored before. I read a mixture of novels, essays, and whatever catches my attention on a second-hand shelf. On a free morning, I might read a few chapters before deciding where the rest of the day should go. I appreciate company that leaves room for both conversation and comfortable pauses.
