I notice the small things: a thoughtful message, a beautiful old building, or a song played at the right moment. There is usually a notebook nearby for a thought, a book title, or a sentence I want to remember. I would rather give a conversation my attention than keep checking the time. I value kindness, a dry sense of humour, and being comfortable enough to say what you mean.
