A long walk, a small backpack, and a day without a timetable suit me well. I always pack more snacks than necessary, and I think a warm drink tastes better after a few hours outside. A flask of something warm and an extra layer are often all I need for a simple afternoon out. I don't need every day to be exciting; I just like feeling that I've made something of it.
