I like collecting recommendations from people who can explain why a book stayed with them. There is usually a notebook nearby for a thought, a book title, or a sentence I want to remember. I usually remember a thoughtful conversation long after I have forgotten what was on the menu. I like keeping life simple without making it predictable.
