An afternoon exploring a neighbourhood is often my favourite excuse to try somewhere new for lunch. I often remember a place because of the conversation I had there as much as the food. I usually keep a few places on a list, then choose whatever suits the mood of the day. I get along well with people who are curious, considerate, and willing to laugh at a small mistake.
