I am drawn to stories that give me something to think about after the last page. I read a mixture of novels, essays, and whatever catches my attention on a second-hand shelf. I usually remember a thoughtful conversation long after I have forgotten what was on the menu. I appreciate people who can be thoughtful without taking themselves too seriously.
