I like exploring a place through its food, its small streets, and the places people recommend without making a fuss. I enjoy trying food I haven't cooked before, browsing little independent shops, and finding somewhere with a good atmosphere. If the day has been busy, an easy dinner and a chance to talk are usually more appealing than a big event. I make plans because I enjoy them, not because every free hour needs to be filled.
