A relaxed evening with a homemade meal is often exactly what I have been looking forward to. A trip to the market can inspire a whole evening, and I rarely follow a recipe without changing at least one thing. I like an evening that leaves everyone feeling welcome, with no pressure to make it a special occasion. I appreciate people who notice the effort behind a small kindness and offer their own in return.
