A relaxed evening with a homemade meal is often exactly what I have been looking forward to. A trip to the market can inspire a whole evening, and I rarely follow a recipe without changing at least one thing. I like writing a small note beside a recipe so I remember what worked when I make it again. I appreciate a little effort, a sincere thank-you, and the ability to laugh when something doesn't go to plan.
