I enjoy simple routines, especially when there's room in them for something homemade. I have a few dishes I can make without thinking and plenty more that I'm still trying to get right. Trying something new is more enjoyable when there is room to laugh if it does not turn out as expected. I appreciate a little effort, a sincere thank-you, and the ability to laugh when something doesn't go to plan.
