I like the kind of hospitality that makes people feel comfortable rather than carefully entertained. I enjoy the process of preparing a meal as much as sitting down to eat it. I like an evening that leaves everyone feeling welcome, with no pressure to make it a special occasion. I don't confuse a quiet life with a dull one; there are plenty of things to enjoy without rushing.
