My idea of a pleasant detour often involves a small bookshop and a place to sit with a coffee. I like people who can disagree kindly and stay interested in another point of view. A thoughtful message can make my day, especially when it refers to something we talked about before. I'd rather leave room for a good conversation than fill every silence.
