My idea of a pleasant detour often involves a small bookshop and a place to sit with a coffee. I enjoy stories with complicated characters, walks through unfamiliar streets, and cooking with music on in the background. A thoughtful message can make my day, especially when it refers to something we talked about before. A bit of curiosity and a little patience go a long way with me.
