I notice the small things: a thoughtful message, a beautiful old building, or a song played at the right moment. There is usually a notebook nearby for a thought, a book title, or a sentence I want to remember. A rainy day is a good excuse to make tea and finally open the book I have been saving. I am happy when getting to know someone feels gradual, easy, and unforced.
