I spend enough time indoors during the week, so getting outside is usually my first plan for the weekend. I am usually the one who suggests a short detour when a lane or a footpath looks inviting. On a quiet weekend, I might choose a park, a riverside path, or a nearby stretch of countryside. Good company and a little flexibility matter more to me than a perfect plan.
