A good book and a quiet corner can turn an ordinary afternoon into my favourite part of the week. I can be reserved at first, but I warm up quickly when a conversation moves beyond the usual small talk. I usually remember a thoughtful conversation long after I have forgotten what was on the menu. A bit of curiosity and a little patience go a long way with me.
