I'm happy learning a new recipe, putting together a meal, or spending a quiet evening with a good film. I usually cook with music on and tidy up a little as I go, although baking can undo all my good intentions. I am quite happy changing the plan when a recipe needs adjusting or an ingredient is missing. For me, comfort comes from feeling welcome rather than from having everything arranged perfectly.
