I like collecting recommendations from people who can explain why a book stayed with them. I take my coffee seriously, keep a small list of books to read, and rarely leave a gallery without finding a favourite. I usually remember a thoughtful conversation long after I have forgotten what was on the menu. A curious mind and a considerate manner make a lovely first impression on me.
