I'm drawn to places with a bit of character, whether that's a little cinema or a room with a piano in the corner. Some evenings are for going out to hear something live; others are for cooking at home with an album playing from start to finish. A free afternoon might include an exhibition, a browse through a record shop, or a film I have been meaning to see. I enjoy enthusiasm, especially when it comes without a need to impress.
