I enjoy a slower pace, with room for reading, thoughtful conversations, and noticing what is around me. There is usually a notebook nearby for a thought, a book title, or a sentence I want to remember. I like making room for a new interest without feeling that I need to become an expert in it. I appreciate company that leaves room for both conversation and comfortable pauses.
