I am happiest with plans that leave enough time to cook, talk, and enjoy being in the same place. When I have a free afternoon, I like to take my time with a meal and leave the rest of the day uncomplicated. A thoughtful meal does not need to be complicated; sometimes the best choice is something familiar made well. For me, comfort comes from feeling welcome rather than from having everything arranged perfectly.
