I like the kind of hospitality that makes people feel comfortable rather than carefully entertained. When I have a free afternoon, I like to take my time with a meal and leave the rest of the day uncomplicated. I like slowing down enough to enjoy small routines, from setting the table to making the first cup of the morning. I enjoy being with people who can make themselves at home while remaining thoughtful about others.
