I am happiest with plans that leave enough time to cook, talk, and enjoy being in the same place. A trip to the market can inspire a whole evening, and I rarely follow a recipe without changing at least one thing. On a quiet afternoon, I might make a batch of soup, try a new bake, or tidy a favourite corner. I like company that makes an ordinary evening feel easy to enjoy.
