An afternoon exploring a neighbourhood is often my favourite excuse to try somewhere new for lunch. A simple meal made well often impresses me more than a long menu and a lot of ceremony. I usually keep a few places on a list, then choose whatever suits the mood of the day. For me, a memorable outing does not need to be elaborate; it needs to feel comfortable.
