I am happiest with plans that leave enough time to cook, talk, and enjoy being in the same place. I enjoy the process of preparing a meal as much as sitting down to eat it. I like an evening that leaves everyone feeling welcome, with no pressure to make it a special occasion. The evenings I remember fondly are often the ones that felt simple at the time.
